Area Number (AAA): Assigned based on the geographical region where the person applied. Since 2011, the SSA uses "Randomization" for new numbers.

Group Number (GG): Used for administrative internal divisions. They do not represent a chronological order.

Serial Number (SSSS): A sequential series within each group from 0001 to 9999.

- Group numbers equal to 00
